Any Ways To Fix Dry, Damaged Hair?

By admin Posted in: software

My hair is long, about 2 inches from my bellybutton and I don’t plan on cutting it. I’ve been using various heat products on my hair since I was about 10, and I never payed attention to protector sprays etc. until about 2 months ago. Now, I’m realizing my hair is very dry looking, has tons of split ends, and doesn’t feel that soft. Anyway to get my hair back to normal? I know I can get rid of my split ends with getting my hair trimmed, but I have to wait till my next appointment. Thanks! (:

Of course it’s best to stay away from heat products all together, but who can do that?! I have several suggestions for you. There is a product out there called It’s a 10 Miracle Hair Repair Masque. Buy that and use it every day! I swear by it. They also have a wonderful Leave in Conditioner as well. You can use them both if needed. They smell wonderful and are truly a miracle!! Also, for a heat protectant, you want to stay away from alcohol. Instead, use CHI Silk Infusion applied to your hair before heat sources. It locks in actual silk in your hair. Or, Enjoy Hair and Skin Treatment Oil works well, and, unlike CHI, it’s non-greasy. It’s also weightless, control humidity and of course, is alcohol free. If you can try to go a day or two without blow drying all together, that will be an added bonus for your hair.

sorry honey, but the easiest way is to cut it.
hair is dead cells, so there is no way to reverse split ends.
stay away from heat appliances, when using a blow dryer, use heat protection.
try and use a hair mask for moisturizing and nourishing your hair,
or use leave-in conditioners. i had the same problem and i just decided to chop my hair off,
now its healthy and shiny and perfect for the summer weather (=
try getting your ends trimmed if not a cut. good luck.

When you wash your hair use a generous amount of a good brand conditioner on your ends, like Beautiful Lengths by Pantene Pro-V. Let it sit and soak in for about 3-5 minutes and then wash it out as usual, this will make a difference. If not, use a repairing hair mask, and leave it on for 5-7 minutes and then rinse it out. These masks are made specifically for these problems, so try one out. Also, a trim would help out ALOT more than you think it could. If the problem continues after all of this, ask your hairstylist for advice, they would probably be more than willing to help you out.
    Good luck! :)

Try conditioning your hair a lot to really make your hair soft again. Also if you blow dry your hair try to let it dry naturally. I to have the same problem i have split ends and i don’t want to cut my hair, so try giving your hair a rest once in a while by tying it up in a bun or not straightening it as much. Also try shampoos and conditioners that help to repair your hair or ones that add extra moister that will really work.
    Hope that has helped

follow these tips to repair it
    # Have patience.
    # Take time out to care for your hair.
    # Change your diet to improve the health of your hair and minimize hair breakage. Eat a diet that is high in whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Be sure you are getting enough essential fatty acids, also known as omega-3. Some good sources of omega-3 include salmon, herring, flax seed, walnuts, olive oil and lean meats, among others.
    # Take vitamin E and B supplements, or better yet, take a multi-vitamin every day. It may take awhile before you see improved results in your hair, but adding these vitamins to your diet works toward repairing hair breakage from the inside out.
    # Use moisturizing shampoos and conditioners every time you wash your hair. Avoid pulling or twisting your hair when washing or drying it.
    # Get your hair trimmed regularly to prevent split ends from traveling up the hair shaft to the roots. It is a good idea to have split ends trimmed once a month.
    # the first home remedy is a hot oil treatment. This treatment is great for many things, however is perfect for hair breakage
here is a great homemade remedy to treat breakage
    * The first home remedy is hair mayonnaise recipe. The first step is to combine and whisk two egg yolks in a small bowl.
    * now, cut an avocado into two halves. Remove the skin of one half and place it in a separate bowl. Then use a fork to mash the avocado.
    * Add 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil to avocado and whisk olive oil and avocado together until they are one texture.
    * Whisk the egg yolk separately. Then add the yolk to the avocado and olive oil blend; continue whisking until they are one composition.
    * Now apply throughout the hair, however concentrate on the areas that need it most (like the ends or hair in back of the head).
    * Leave in the hair for about a half hour and then shampoo and condition hair as usual.
    * Repeat these steps every 3 days or weekly until there is an improvement in the overall condition of the hair. You should be able to see results after about 2 to 3 weeks. If not, please consult with a professional.

stay away from the heat products for a while, or if you do use them try protectant spray. Try alternating with hairstyles so you aren’t straightening it every single day. Like try wearing it curly with some curl products.
Also you do need to take care of your split ends, there are shampoos and products out there that help repair (but don’t totally get rid of ) split ends. You can also buy damage repair shampoo , or maybe its just “repairing” shampoo. There is TONS of this for almost every brand on the market.
Another tip would be make sure you are conditioning and letting it stay in there for a while.
    - another way to make you hair soft is a mayonaise rinse where you put mayonaise in your hair and then rense it out…it sounds super gross but it makes your hair very soft.
